Ian & Monica Elliott

Send a Note Start a Campaign

Monica became a certified Doula, Birth Assistant, and Lactation Counselor through Bastyr University and Northwest Birth Assistants and Midwifery.  She has been serving as a doula for the immigrant community in Seattle for several years. It is Monica’s passion to support and advocate for women and families through some of their greatest times of need.

Ian graduated from Washington State University with dual degrees in Architecture and Construction Management. He worked for a commercial construction company in Seattle for 26 years. From 1994 until 2014, he had also been involved in ministry in Russia through church planting, church construction, children's camps, orphan care, and prison ministry. He is now an ordained pastor through the Russian Baptist church.

Monica was ill for ten years and was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that had no cure. In 2016, she was miraculously healed by God in Russia. As a result, Ian and Monica decided to dedicate the rest of their lives to serving God wherever he would lead them. And God has sent them to the Philippines!

Ian and Monica spent 2019-2020 in the Philippines focusing on language school and learning about a number of ministries that they are considering joining. Currently they are in the US preparing for long term service and making plans for their return.

Pray - We need the prayers of many for this ministry to happen and thrive.

Give - Financial gifts are welcomed, but so are tangible gifts like baby items, clothes for new moms, equipment, and more.

Come - See Shalom’s ministry first hand! Come for a tour, a chance to serve, or for an internship.
