I have the exciting opportunity to serve in Bogota, Colombia this June and help Pastor Javier’s team with a children’s Bible camp. A few years ago, I began considering missions work and have been taking small steps in that direction ever since. I graduated with a minor in Intercultural Studies, my school’s missionary program, and through the classes and experiences I had in the program, I only became more determined that this was something I needed to try. Over the past year, I have had multiple people from my church provide direction and advice on how best to do that, which has led me to this trip to Colombia. My hope is that through this trip, I will have a better idea of whether or not I should begin preparing to serve somewhere long-term. I have never been on a mission trip so I will definitely be pushed in ways I can’t even prepare for, but I am so excited to get to experience sharing the gospel cross-culturally and to learn so much along the way.

I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and would love your support in going financially, but especially prayerfully. Please join me in praying that the children we serve while there will learn about God’s Word and the new life that we have in Christ, for the safety and health of everyone involved, and lastly, I would appreciate prayer for learning more about what it truly means to be a missionary and for clarity in what areas I am best fit to serve.
